Stott lemeyer, who wavered bet ween admiration for Monk and annoya nce at his eccentricities during the fi rst season, is beco ming more of a friend t o Monk as the series deve lops, frequent ly calling him in to help, as much for Monk&#39 ;s benef it as for hi s own. But in the tenth episode of the thi rd seas on, Shar ona was replaced b y a new ass istant, Natali e Teeger ( Traylor Howard) . Like Sharona, a divorcee with a s on named Benjy , Natalie is a sin gle parent, a widow wi th a da ughter named Julie (Em my Clarke).
